My Approach

How We Work Together

Therapy is not one size fits all. I draw from several approaches depending on what you need, where you are, and what your nervous system is ready for. Here is a little bit about the tools I use and why.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is the approach at the heart of my trauma work. It is a deeply researched, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process experiences that got “stuck”: memories, beliefs, and feelings that continue to affect your present life even when you wish they wouldn’t. What makes EMDR different from traditional talk therapy is that we are not just talking about what happened, we are helping your brain and body actually process and integrate it. I was drawn to EMDR not only through my clinical training, but through my own personal experience with it. I have seen firsthand how transformative this work can be.

Gottman Method for Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy

The Gottman Method is one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy in the world, built on decades of study into what makes relationships thrive and what quietly erodes them. In our work together, this framework helps us understand the patterns showing up in your relationship, improve the way you communicate and repair after conflict, and build a deeper friendship and trust between partners. It gives our couples work both structure and direction without losing the warmth and humanity that every relationship deserves.

Attachment-Based Therapy

Everything I do is rooted in attachment. The way we learned to connect, or not connect, in our earliest relationships shapes nearly every relationship we have as adults, including the one we have with ourselves. Attachment-based therapy helps us understand those early blueprints, recognize where they are showing up in your life today, and begin to rewrite them. Whether we are doing individual or couples work, attachment is always part of the conversation.

Person-Centered Therapy

The Foundation of Everything

Before any technique or framework, I am a person-centered therapist at heart. This approach, rooted in the work of Carl Rogers, is built on the belief that every person deserves unconditional positive regard, genuine empathy, and a space where they feel truly heard without judgment. This is not just a modality I use, but it is who I am as a clinician and as a person. Every session, regardless of what else we are doing, is grounded in the belief that you are worthy of being met exactly where you are.

what to expect

Starting therapy can feel like the hardest step. My goal is to make the process feel clear, collaborative, and supportive from the very beginning.

01

let's connect

Free 15-Minute Consultation

We'll have a brief phone call to talk about what's bringing you here, answer any questions you may have, and see whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure or obligation, just a chance to connect.

02

Your First Session

This is where I begin getting to know you beyond the symptoms. We'll explore your story, what's brought you to therapy, what's already helping, and what you'd like life to feel like moving forward. Together, we'll begin identifying meaningful goals for our work.

03

Therapy That Evolves With You

Healing isn't linear, and therapy shouldn't follow a rigid formula. As we build trust, we'll tailor each session to your needs, drawing from different approaches as you grow, process, and move toward the life you want to create.
